Today on Cyprus we are talking with a special guest, Ljubomir Mladenovic, one of the best professional masseurs in Europe. After he has received the award, we have an opportunity to chat with our fellow citizen Ljuba, one of the most successful people from Kragujevac in Europe.

1. Tell us something about yourself and your interesting life before becoming the top masseur in Europe.

I was born in a typical working Serbian family, as most people from the former SFRJ are; my father’s name is Vladimir and my mother’s name is Kosara. I have two beautiful and smart daughters, Nikolina and Milena. Primarily, I finished my elementary and high school, and then Reserve Officer School in Bileca. I participated in various battlefields, worked as a security guard for both private and important people in our country, and worked for Marine Corps Security Force. After having finished with the fields in 2000, I decided to leave military force and dedicate the rest of my life to something nice. On the suggestion of my friend, who later became my colleague, too, Rasa Kenjic, I finished the School of Massage in 2002 and opened my own first saloon in Zlatibor, and later in Kragujevac. I was lucky to have mr. Igor Micunovic working in my saloon, who is the traditional Chinese medicine doctor as well as the president and founder of Montenegro Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Because of his altruistic efforts, I learnt acupuncture and reflexology, and I want to use this opportunity to thank him for everything.

After 10 years of working and gaining knowledge and experience in my saloon, as well as in some sports clubs (Volleyball Club “RADNICKI”, Handball Club “RADNICKI”, Football Club “TUTIN), I decided to challenge myself and compete with others, so I went to Germany in 2013. From the very first day, although I didn’t know German, I worked in my field of specialization because of the unconditional help my friend Nermin Mujanovic gave me. Namely, he managed to get me a job in an elite spa center. In the meantime, I used all of my free time to learn German and to improve myself by going to various seminars around Europe.

2. You are very popular because of your work, and you travel a lot privately, so where do you like to work the most, and where do you mostly spend your free time?

I like working on the seaside the most, and I spend my free time with my daughters and walking in nature.

3. What is the situation like in the saloons around the world nowadays, and what is like in Serbia? If you could compare them, and recomend some of the best?

Unfortunately, the situation in the massage saloons around the world is much better, even drastically better, than here in Serbia. The reason for that is better living standards and a variety of options for better both work and life. However, I must single out the SPA center MORADO from Kragujevac TC Abrasevic, which has a professional team working with modern methods.

4. What would you say is your motto, and what book would you recommend our readers?

“It’s not a shame to fall down but not getting up and moving on to further victories, because I don’t recognize a defeat”. And my favourite book is “Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.

5. You often like to say that Kragujevac is in your heart, so what does Kragujevac mean for you today?

Exactly. For me, Kragujevac represents an oasis of good people, that, unfortunately, few want to corrupt.

6. How do you feel now that you have received an award for the Top masseur in Europe in 2019?

Honestly, I didn’t expect it, but here it is. This recognition is a big surprise for me, and now I feel a huge responsibility to continue to improve myself, as well as to constantly improve the quality of my work and treatments.

7. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I see myself working in my spa center with the best team of health experts, that could provide their clients with every necessary treatment for better life.
